Akar Prakar has been involved with publishing projects in the form of monographs, catalogues and children's books on modern Indian masters such as S. H. Raza, Gopal Ghose, Sarbari Roy Chowdhury, Meera Mukherjee, Ganesh Pyne, Ganesh Haloi, Prodosh Das Gupta, Somnath Hore, among other titles.
